Tally’s Engineering Department is composed of a team of experienced professionals from ABET-accredited universities, specializing in artificial lift solutions. With years of expertise in gas lift, plunger lift, and enhanced oil recovery, our engineers utilize advanced design tools and industry best practices to develop and refine equipment built to API specifications. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we optimize gas lift performance while maintaining a strong focus on reliability and efficiency.

A structured Product Data Management (PDM) system ensures smooth operations for existing equipment while allowing for the seamless introduction of new products. This system plays a critical role in sustaining advancements in artificial lift solutions, including gas-assisted plunger lift and high-pressure gas lift applications.

Gas Lift Design Pro

Our in-house Gas Lift Design Program (GLDP) supports well design, optimization, and troubleshooting for artificial lift applications. This tool is applicable to both vertical and horizontal wells, aiding in various flow scenarios such as continuous gas lift, intermittent lift, and tubing or annular flow applications. By analyzing factors like gas lift valve placement, injection rate, and wellbore placement, GLDP helps ensure optimal production strategies for a wide range of reservoir conditions.

Solidworks CAD

• Advanced 3D CAD software enables precise modeling of components such as gas lift valves, gas lift mandrels, and bypass plungers.
• Simulation technology enhances prototyping and verifies designs under various well conditions, including long lateral and extended reach drilling applications.

Solidworks FEA

Tally Energy applies finite element analysis (FEA) to assess component displacements, stresses, and strains under wellbore conditions, such as variations in wellhead pressure and bottom-hole pressure. This technology helps refine the design of critical artificial lift components, including gas lift packers, plunger controllers, and venturi valves. By leveraging FEA, we ensure our equipment is optimized for performance in high-pressure environments, reducing potential failures and improving system reliability.

Solidworks Flow Simulation

Tally Energy uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to enable quick, efficient simulation of fluid flow and heat transfer. You can easily calculate fluid forces and understand the impact of a liquid or gas on product performance. This is especially useful in optimizing artificial lift systems, including gas lift valves, gas lift mandrels, and venturi valves, where understanding fluid dynamics is critical for maintaining consistent production.

Tightly integrated with SOLIDWORKS CAD, CFD analysis using SOLIDWORKS Simulation takes the complexity out of flow analysis and is a regular part of our design process, reducing the need for costly prototypes, eliminating rework and delays, and saving time and development costs. By simulating flow behavior in tubing and annular flow conditions, we can refine gas lift and plunger-assisted gas lift designs to improve efficiency, optimize pressure rate, and enhance wellbore placement strategies. Additionally, CFD analysis helps in evaluating scaling protection and corrosion protection methods, ensuring longevity and reliability of critical production equipment.

Tally is about Production. We support our customers by:

• Utilizing our experienced service men for Installation and Troubleshooting (data gathering).
• Applying Computer generated Nodal and GL Design programs for reliable and accurate modeling.
• Full service commitment that includes experienced personnel in the Field or Office to support all Production Operations.

Tally Energy Artificial Lift utilizes Well Evaluation Model (WEM) software by P.E. Moseley & Associates to assist our customers with Nodal analysis. Nodal analysis is a very useful tool when evaluating current production as well as estimating future production based on changes in bottom hole pressure, gas to liquid ratio, wellhead pressure, etc. for both natural flow and artificial lift wells. Prior to implementing artificial lift, it is very important to understand how the artificial lift system is going to impact production so that the equipment can be designed properly to ensure maximum production. In addition, performing a Nodal analysis will aid in identifying system constraints (flow restrictions).

Prior to completing a gas lift design for a natural flow well, Tally recommends running a Nodal analysis to help in determining future production rates, optimal injection pressure, optimal injection rate, tubing size, packer depth and well head pressure. Tally offers all well modelling to our customers at no additional charge.
